What you'll learn

Each time we step on stage we step into a different universe, filled with playful possibilities. But we sometimes forget about this and just step on stage mechanically or scared. What if we shift this perspective and enter the stage with curiosity and fun?
This workshop is aimed at those feeling stuck. And it is about the beginnings of scenes, what, how, who and where we choose to be before we discover the scene and let ourselves be changed by it.
We'll be focusing on emotions, physicality, wants, characters and all that we first bring to the scene and we'll endow it all to our door.
There are about 100 doors that we can create. This way, next time you're about to go on stage, you'll not panic, but simply open one of your doors and you'll have all you need.
The aim of this workshop is to give you all the tools you need to go on stage and scare your panic away, but mostly to always remind you that improv is a field of endless universes waiting to be explored.
But it's up to you to open the door…

About the teacher

"Delia Riciu is an actress and improviser based in Bucharest. She was first introduced to improv while in Acting School, 15 years ago and she's been in love with it ever since. She was part of many improv groups, and even started an only female troupe in 2014.

She loved being part of Jinx and doing the Roadtrip format with them throughout Europe. She wrote and implemented applied improv projects that mostly targeted socially vulnerable groups and even went far enough to try
some improvised Shakespeare. Now she's part of a comedy club in Bucharest, performing, teaching and promoting improv as best she can."
