Introduction to Improvisation

This is a one week intensive version of our 8 week improv course for beginners! Participants who complete the course will be able to continue on to Level II in September 2019.
Level II: The Improviser’s Toolkit
In Level I, we learned the key principles behind the art of improvisation. Level II is all about adding and expanding your improv skills. Classes will include work on characters & physicality, emotions, playing with space, object and activity work, discovering patterns and the ‘game’ of the scene.
We will also work on creating good platform beginnings (the who/what/where), in order to make our scene work more solid.
Level III: Solid Scenework
In Level II, we focused on adding core skills to our improvisor’s toolkit; Level III will focusing on refining these skills in the context of solidifying scenework, as well as adding further layers…
More specifically, we will look at:
- status dynamics and shifts
- working on timing
- knowing who has the focus of the scene
- solidifying our platform
- working on our storytelling skills

Musical Improvisation Part III
June Tuesdays, 19:00-21:30
Following our autumn and winter courses, Ingmar is back by popular demand to teach a third installment of Musical Improvisation. Saddle up and get ready to reach to greater improvised musical heights!
I started taking improv classes at ImproBubble because I wanted to improve my story-telling skills whilst running a role-playing game for friends. Kelly and Ben have provided me with a versatile and diverse toolbelt of improv techniques that have made my games more lively, dynamic and player driven. I now look forward to next occasion my players throw our game entirely off course!
